I visited a lookout, called Mirador Monticulo, in the centre of La Paz this afternoon. The views from the lookout were amazing. I've posted my pictures on Flickr.

So the views of the cities rock, but what I really want to see are those crazy monkeys you told me about and koalas you spoke fondly of?
Where are they Megger...where???

How Beautiful!

Meghan -- we're so proud of you and happy to see that you are adjusting well to life in La Paz.
Looking forward to your next report (and more of your beautiful photos).
Jody.
P.S. Contrary to what Steve might have you believe, Dave, the Inca Trail is not a race! I recommend a slower pace so you can stop and take a million photos along the way (or at least that makes a convenient excuse ;-).

I can't wait to come see it! Though, I'm a bit worried about you beating me hands down on the Inca trail, seeing as you'll have been adjusted to the altitude for so long. Grrr... :)

Temptation of the Mountains

Great to hear you're settling in alright. Everything looks lovely, and I look forward to more insight into Bolivian politics.
I'll tell you what though, those mountains are desperately calling to be climbed/trekked. I think a few days of rest and aclimatisation must be rather difficult with that temptation.
look forward to more blog-reading.
Robin.
